This covers all those wonderfully illustrated books produced by illustrators who were active between about 1850 and 1950.

We include more recent editions of some works because many first editions are both very scarce and also expensive when they do appear.

Litho

Lithographic illustration is often known as "Litho". In recent years books with these illustrations have become much more collectible. The major period during which they were produced is between about 1930 and 1960.

Modern

There has been an explosion in the number of illustrated book produced since the 1960s. Technological improvements in printing have meant that their are almost no restrictions in the ways in which text and illustration can be combined The result has been a wealth of highly collectible books.
