Lithographic illustration is often known as "Litho". In recent years books with these illustrations have become much more collectible. The major period during which they were produced is between about 1930 and 1960. There has been an explosion in the number of illustrated book produced since the 1960s. Technological improvements in printing have meant that their are almost no restrictions in the ways in which text and illustration can be combined The result has been a wealth of highly collectible books.
